As President of Seven D Oil & Gas, Inc., I am prepared to offer services to companies and individuals to evaluate, review, generate and market oil and gas investment opportunities and evaluate present worth of producing properties.
Over forty years of broadbased experience in all phases of petroleum exploration and exploitation concentrated in, but not limited to, the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico and the Cook Inlet/Kenai Penninsula of Alaska. Have proven detailed skills in subsurface and geophysical interpretation, prospect evaluation, generation and marketing. Strong seismic and subsurface background, proficient on and own SMT work station and NeuraSection raster imaging cross-section and subsurface mapping program. Computer literate in document generation, data base, spread sheet and internet programs. Experienced in producing property evaluation involving decline curve analysis, economic modeling and other engineering methods. Hands on experience in environmental evaluation and clean-up involving non-hazardous oil field waste. Seven D has working interest in various producing properties.
Mr. Burgers has diversified exploration and production experience in the oil and gas industry, predominantly with ExxonMobil until retirement. He has geological, geophysical and operational experience domestically, as well as internationally. His recent production geology work in conjunction with a reservoir engineer in MX Oil is focused on opportunities in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Louisiana. The plays involve recompletions in conventional as well as development of unconventional plays in the Tertiary, Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford, and Buda. During his employment with ExxonMobil he also worked on the La Luna and Tablazo un-conventional plays, as well as the heavy oil plays in Colombia. Significant time was spend in ExxonMobil on CO2-EOR worldwide opportunities.
Earlier in his career he worked mostly in Exploration on regional evaluations. Mr. Burgers has identified pre- and post-salt opportunities and performed many regional studies. Some of his study areas include Offshore Shelf and Deepwater Gulf of Mexico (Both Mexican and US part), Mexico Onshore, Sub-Sahara Africa in particular Nigeria, Offshore Brazil, and Colombia (On & Offshore). He earned a master’s degree in geology from Leiden University, The Netherlands, and he is fluent in many languages including English and Spanish. He is in the possession of the US Green Card.

Dennis has training in both geology and geophysics. His experience is in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Primary areas of interest are the Permian Basin, Bend Arch, Fort Worth Basin, Eastern Shelf of the Midland Basin, Anadarko Basin (Miss Lime & Woodford Shale), regional analysis in the Williston (Bakken & Three Forks) and Delaware Basin. Dennis is a certified petroleum geologist and a member of the AAPG, SIPES, Fort Worth Geological Society and TAEP. Dennis is a graduate of Texas Tech University, with a B.S. degree in Geology a Composite Geophysics Minor.
I am an experienced prospector looking for opportunities in exploration or development. I have a strong background working sequence stratigraphic interpretation projects in both classics and carbonates. I am interested in working projects in a team setting in the office or working remotely on my own workstation.
Strong interpretation and prospect generation skills using many different software platforms including Kingdom, Petrel and EPOS
Strong background in seismic attribute analysis using AVO/AVA volumes for recognition of AVO classes to determine rock properties from seismic to high-grade prospects.
Strong data analysis skills utilizing Spotfire and excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills working as part of multi-disciplinary teams on several field development projects.
Majnoon and Nasiriyah field development plans Iraq: Did interpretation and mapping of producing formations incorporating sequence stratigraphic interpretation of the reservoir facies. Tied into 20 plus existing wells and incorporated it into the mapping. The maps were used to build reservoir models that were used in simulation to determine the reserves and production forecast for the fields. Worked with engineers to lay out drilling patterns and optimum drilling direction for the sub-surface to determine the optimum development plan for the fields.
Evaluation, scoring and ranking of the 200 largest fields in the Middle East to determine attractiveness for new country entry based upon the following categories: remaining reserves, exploration potential, attractiveness of existing contracts and political landscape. Evaluation included building of score cards and populating them for all fields larger than 500 MMBOE in Iraq, Iran, UAE, Oman, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, PNZ and KRG. Scores were compared, summarized and high graded based upon the attractiveness in the categories outlined above.
Project and prospect generation and evaluation. Able to integrate large data sets, focus on critical characteristics, and distill projects into key positives and negatives quickly. Strong economic forecasting and analyses experience. Creative and imaginative which leads to unrecognized issues or benefits. Strong mentoring skills for entry level Geoscientists - currently co-founder of Geostarters which provides 2 to 3 week focused seismic and well log interpretation methods to entry level geoscientists to get them up to speed for company long-term mentors.
Expert witness experience, including trial research and testimony.
