About Me
I am skilled at 3D and 2D seismic interpretation that integrates well control. I generate synthetic seismograms and tie them to the seismic data, resulting in an understanding of the wavelet in the data, the identity of key reflections, the relation between time and depth, and the seismic response to hydrocarbons. With this foundation, I make a seismic interpretation that is the basis for prospects to be identified, defined, and evaluated.
Interpretation software used recently include OpendTect, Petrel, Kingdom, and Decision Space Geosciences.
I received a B.S. in Geology from Texas A&M University, where my courses included four in Petroleum Engineerng. After working for six years as a development geologist in the Gulf of Mexico, I went to the Colorado School of Mines, where I worked in the Reservoir Characterization Project and earned an M.S. in Geophysics. Since then, I have worked as a geophysicist both onshore and offshore, international and domestic, on projects ranging from exploitation to new ventures.
I enjoy using all the available data to understand the rocks in the subsurface and the fluids they contain.
